Lt. Commander Dorin Taneko is a warm-hearted, wisecracking Bolian whose natural cheer and razor-sharp intellect make him a notable (and occasional headache) among the Starfleet R&D Department. Dorin was born aboard the USS Melvyn, feet from a functioning warp core—something he never lets anyone forget—and claims it gave him his famous “reaction-hardened optimism.”
