Determination
DETERMINATION CAN BE GAINED PAST THE FIRST
When your values aid you in what you're seeking to achieve, you may spend Determination; while you gain Determination when your immediate goals and your values conflict with one another.
- Everyone starts each session with 1 Determination; if you gain extras they are use or lose by end of session
- Challenging a Value: If a character's actions directly contradict one of their stated Values, they can challenge that Value. This results in one point of Determination and the Value must be replaced at the end of the session.
- GM Offer: The GM can offer a point of Determination to a player if their character's actions, motivated by a Value, lead to a complication or negative consequence.
- Milestone: If a character completes a Milestone in a previous adventure and decides not to spend it, they can save it and use it in a later session to gain one Determination point.
